Juan-Carlos Figueroa (he/him) is a Venezuelan-Canadian actor, scholar, and fool born and raised in Niagara. He is a graduate of George Brown Theatre School and has a B.A. (Hons) in Dramatic Arts with a Performance Concentration from Brock University.
He is insatiably curious about his craft and has a split passion for Classical Text and Physical Comedy. He is equally in love with Shakespeare and Shaw as he is with Commedia Dell’Arte and Clown.
Select theatre credits include: Count Vronsky in Anna Karenina, Head Clown in Carnival of Munsch; Don Carlos in Don Carlos (GBTS). Other credits include: King Polixenes in A Winter’s Tale; Captain Bordure in King Ubu; and Flavio in Pantalone’ s Palace (Brock); as well as Clown in Unplugged (Zacada Circus).
Offstage, Juan-Carlos can be found covered in soil, absent-mindedly gardening or furrow-browed surrounded by books and open tabs researching niche historical topics. He looks forward to sharing his passion with other dreamers and fools.
